Begin Together: A Parent/Caregiver & Infant Workshop Series

The Lawrence Memorial Library's Begin Together program is a series of 8-week workshops to support new parents/caregivers and infants, offered once in the Fall 2021 and again in the Winter 2022. These workshops are designed to encourages families to engage in age-appropriate activities through singing, games, and movement with a focus on support by professionals in the fields of infant massage, parenting/child development, family literacy, and postpartum healing/yoga. Additionally, parents and caregivers will be invited to learn and understand their child’s development and become confident in their supporting roles. These workshops will develop community connections that will support and nurture families for years to come.

Brain Lab Playgroup

Sunrise is Bennington County’s Parent Child Center, and our mission is “Strengthening Families”. Sunrise works in partnership with individuals, families, and community members to provide a variety of supports and services. These services promote the growth and development of individuals and families through encouragement of strengths, expansion of opportunities, and support in times of stress. With this opportunity, we will host a pilot Brain Lab Playgroup, for our Early Care & Education and Learning Together Program participants. Brain Lab focuses on building the parent-child bond and promoting brain development in young children through positive serve and return interactions, using research-based strategies.
