LiteracyStory Enchantment All Year
Story Enchantment All Year (SEAY) addresses the need for high-quality childcare by delivering professional development opportunities for the early childcare workforce by extending our visits and targeting content for child care professionals. With each bookmobile visit, SEAY provides book/material loans for everyone, free professional development, and story times with evidence-based extension activities for children 0-5. By focusing on social-emotional skill development, SEAY builds trauma-informed services that will reduce the impacts of adverse childhood experiences and increase kindergarten readiness in social and emotional learning.

LiteracySupporting Kids in Tough Times: Resources for Families
The Waterbury Public Library will support healthy social-emotional development in young children in our community. We will do this by: * Purchasing topical children's and parenting books to the library's collection * Adding pre-loaded educational tablets that focus on social-emotional learning tour lenging collection for the first time * Providing a keep-forever book to 235 +/- local children in preschool and Kindergarten. * Hosting 2 parenting/caregiver workshops on positive social-emotional development in young children

LiteracyTwinfield Together Literacy Mentoring Program
The purpose of the program is support the development and implementation of a pilot program offering school-based literacy mentoring to kindergarten through third grade cildren. Any interested child will be matched with an adult mentor to read for an hour during lunch every week during the school year.
